Family Swim
Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult. All swimmers must pass a swim test to be unaccompanied by an adult in the water*.

Children who do not pass the test must have a parent with them in the water at all times. Noodles, kickboards and coastguard-approved life vests are permitted.

*Children under 13 must have a parent in the pool area or viewing area while child is swimming.

Parents of children 13-16 must remain in the facility while child is swimming.

Family Swim & Pool Guidelines

1. All swimmers must shower before they enter the pool.


2. For safety reasons no one is permitted to remain on the pool deck unless they are participating in a swim program.


3. Observers must exit the pool area and proceed to the viewing mezzanine.


4. All lap swimmers must wear a bathing cap.


5. Children who are not potty-trained must wear a swim diaper and plastic/rubber training pants. Everyone using the pool is required to wear a bathing suit.


6. Starting Blocks are not to be used at any time.


7. Kickboards & noodles are permitted as long as they are used in a safe manner.


8. “Swimmies,” bubbles, & tubes are not permitted in the pool. A life vest is the only flotation device allowed in the pool.


9. No balls are allowed in the pool.


10. Dumbbells, hand buoys, belts, and flippers are reserved for the use of swim team and adult lap swimmers only.


11. All children ages 7 and under must be accompanied in the pool by a parent/guardian over the age of 18 with a maximum of 3 children per adult.


12. All non-swimmers (regardless of age) must have a parent in the pool.


13. Children ages 8 & up who want to enter the pool without a parent/guardian must pass a swimming skills test. The parent/guardian must remain in the viewing mezzanine.


14. Lap Lanes are only for swimmers who are 13 years and older who can continuously swim laps.
