Designed for children ages six months to kindergarten, classes are 1/2-hour with 25 minutes of instruction. Children under 3 participate with a trusted adult, creating a unique aquatic experience that focuses on water acclimation. Children ages 3 to kindergarten are grouped by skill with one instructor. There is no parent/adult participation with this age group. Parents may observe from the viewing area.
One make-up lesson available within the session. Must be scheduled with the Aquatics department.
All swimmers with chin-length hair or longer MUST wear a bathing cap. All children not potty trained must wear tight-fitting plastic pants, a swim diaper, and a bathing suit.
Water acclimation class for babies aged 6-18 months with adult participation required.
Water acclimation class for babies aged 18-36 months with adult participation required.

Learn beginner skills including flutter kick, alternating arms & back floats. Child must be 3 years old at the start of the enrolled session.
Ages 4-5 years
Beginner swim class for 4 and
5 year olds. Learn beginner skills including flutter kick, alternating arms & back floats. Develop skills to swim independently.
Ages 4-6 years
Able to swim independently approximately 5 yards and float on back. Improve front crawl and learn back float with flutter kick.
Ages 4-6 years
Able to swim independently 10 yards. Learn front crawl stroke with side breathing, back crawl & elementary backstrokes. Begin diving and develop deep water confidence.
Ages 5-6 years
Must pass Ray level and be able to swim freestyle, back stroke & elementary back stroke at least 15 yards. Must have deep water confidence. Strengthen all strokes and diving. Intro to breast stroke and treading water. Build endurance to 25 yards.
