Group Exercise Classes

20/20/20
Break up your workout with three different types of exercise. Twenty-minute
segments may include aerobics, step, toning, ball training or flexibility.

Below the Belt
Firm and condition muscles in the lower body. This low impact workout uses body bars, weights, resistance bands and benches.

Boot Camp
High energy class uses a variety of drills to improve endurance, strength, coordination and agility. For all fitness levels.

Cardio Blast
High and low impact moves for cardiovascular conditioning, followed by toning.

Cardio Kick and Jab
A cardiovascular workout incorporating boxing and kickboxing moves. Total body workout.

Cardio Sculpt/Cardio Sculpt Plus
High and low aerobic combo followed by toning. Plus class is 1-1/2 hours.

Core Training
Develop strength in core muscles, increase stability of spine and pelvis, reduce risk of injury and enhance performance.

Hatha Yoga
Incorporates breathing techniques with Hatha yoga postures. Builds strength, flexibility and balance.

Hip Hop Workout
Get a total body workout with the latest dance moves.

Interval
High and low intensity in a single workout. Challenging for all fitness levels.

Latin Explosion
Latin rhythms and steps make for a fast, fun and effective workout. Great for all levels.

Low Impact Aerobics
Low impact class with easy choreography, followed by toning and stretching. Great for beginners and older adults.

Power Yoga
An athletic class for mixed levels. A vigorous series of yoga postures combined with enhanced breathing develops strength and flexibility.

Running Club
Prepare for your next 5K or marathon with a coach who will teach you the fundamentals of building speed, peaking and tapering. Organized group runs. All ages welcome. Contact Dave Driscoll in Fitness. Full Members only.

Saturday Multi-Mix
Crosstrain! Instructor and workout change weekly to stimulate additional
strength gains and reduce risk of injury.

Senior Chair Exercise Class
Burn calories and tone muscles with this aerobic workout done from a sitting position. Great for beginners.

Senior Chair Yoga
Increase flexibility and relaxation with chair yoga. Explore proper postures, better breathing techniques and gentle movement of every muscle in your body which can be done seated or standing.

Senior Training
Low-intensity workout for seniors. Increase cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, and flexibility.

Spin® Express
30-minute calorie burning spin workout. Class size limited. Bring water and a towel. Pre-registration and orientation required. Full Members only.

Spinning®
Participants ride indoor cycling bikes and an instructor leads the workout which is close to actual road riding. Class size limited. Bring water and a towel. Pre-registration and orientation required. Full Members only.

Sport Circuit
Build strength and endurance by moving station-to-station completing sport-like moves.

Step N’ Sculpt
Step aerobics and toning combo. A great workout to firm up and burn fat.

Stretch and Flex
Learn correct stretching techniques to avoid injury improve range of motion, increase circulation.

Tai Chi
You’ll feel relaxed after practicing the slow stretching, breathing and gentle movements of Tai Chi.

Tone
Define, firm and condition all muscle groups. This non-impact workout uses body bars, weights, resistance bands, and benches.

Upper Cuts & Abs
30 minutes devoted to all muscle groups above the waist including abs.

Yoga Combo
Half-hour of power followed by half-hour restorative yoga. Restorative uses props, aromatherapy, and simple massage techniques to support and relax you.

Yolates
Yoga meets Pilates for whole body integration. Strengthen, sculpt, and generate heat in a powerful class that will leave you feeling energized and more flexible.

Zumba®
Zumba combines motivating music and rhythms with high-energy Latin moves that are fun and easy to learn. The routines features aerobic/ fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba is a “feel-happy” workout that is great for both the body and the mind.

Punk Rope
Come join the new fitness craze. Punk Rope is a playful cross between recess and boot camp that combines rope jumping with creative conditioning drills, relay races, games and core and flexibility training. Join the class that is bringing play back into fitness, building community, and celebrating the power and spirit of rock n’ roll. Coming this Fall!

New30 Minute Express Circuit
If you are having trouble finding time to exercise, the Express Circuit is for you. The circuit combines cardiovascular and resistance training for a total body work out in just 30 minutes.
Monday-Friday 1:45-3pm
Last entry into circuit is 2:30pm

Mommy & Baby Yoga

Thursday 10:15-11am

Yoga moves increase strength and flexibility, tone the body, and reduce stress and quiet the mind. Baby will be included in the yoga poses. Please bring a blanket for baby. Available Sessions III and IV.
Full Member: $190
Basic Member: $225

One-On-One Speed & Agility Training
Training with a performance enhancement specialist will improve your performance, reduce risk of injuries, speed recovery and increase overall fitness. See Fitness Director for more information or to sign up.
One hour session: $30
Half-hour session: $20

Personal Partners
A specialized exercise program for your loved one with special needs (Down syndrome, Autism). The exercise program will be developed by a certified personal trainer and will match the individual’s capabilities and needs. See Amy Jones in the Fitness department for more information.
Basic Membership required.
$25 hour/$15 per half hour

Personal Training
Create a workout for your personal needs and goals. Perfect for members who are new to working out or for those who need help achieving their fitness objectives. See Fitness Director for more information.

Buy 10 sessions, get one free.

Only YMCA staff are permitted to conduct training sessions on YMCA premises.

Group Personal Training Sessions
You and up to four friends can make the commitment to get fit and healthy with the guidance of a personal trainer. All participants should have similar goals. See Fitness Director for more information.

Pilates Essentias

A mind-body program that tones and strengthens muscles, reduces stress, and creates a streamlined body shape.

Jr. Personal Training
For ages 13-16 years old. Teens can now reach their fitness goals through the guidance of a qualified personal trainer. 45 minute session. See Fitness Director for more information or to sign up.
Full Members $35 Extreme Teen Member $4

Post Rehab Training
A program tailored in consultation with your physician to meet your therapeutic requirements. Meet with a qualified trainer twice a week as long as needed. Conditions may include, but are not limited to: post rehab, heart history, joint problems, arthritis, high blood pressure, multiple sclerosis, and spinal stenosis. See Fitness Director for more information or to sign up.
Full Members $100/8 visits
Basic/GEC member $120/8 visits
Physician’s clearance required. Purchase limited to one session. Continued sessions will be determined by trainer’s evaluation and/or physician’s recommendations.

Pilates Plus Props
Workout incorporates balls, flex-bands, rings, dumbbells and matwork to build strength, stability and flexibility. All levels welcome. Bring a sticky mat to class.

Pre/Post Natal Yoga - 9 weeks
Sessions III & IV
An 9-week course to improve flexibility while increasing strength and endurance. Promotes proper breathing and relaxation during and after pregnancy. Registration required.

Get back in shape no matter what the weather! For women with babies 6 weeks to 2 years. Child will remain in your stroller during class. Aerobic power walking with intervals of resistance training. Held indoors.

Deep Tissue Massage

Concentrating on your "problem areas," we work out your knots and kinks. Great for the weekend athlete who has overdone it or for anyone who has developed chronic patterns of muscle tension.

All Members:

Swedish Massage

Melt away your stress and tension. Using long flowing strokes and other techniques, this massage can improve circulation, flush toxins and reduce blood pressure.

Pre- and Post-Natal Massage

Specifically addressing the needs of the pregnant or post-natal woman, this massage helps ease the discomforts of pregnancy and can facilitate post-partum recovery.

All Members:

Triathalon Training Seminar

Sunday, January 13, 1-4pm – Kuiken Community Room

Get a better understanding of how to achieve your racing objectives while maintaining a balanced lifestyle with world-class triathlete and 17-time Ironman, Mike Llerandi. Mike has designed a seminar that will help you prepare for this year’s races, develop your training and racing goals, and establish a healthy lifestyle.

This seminar is perfect for “first timers” as well as seasoned triathletes.
The group will meet collectively at first and then break down into two separate sessions; one for beginners and one for triathlon veterans.
Open to the public. $100 registration includes lunch and training materials. Contact the Fitness Department for registration.
