Dear Friends,
Welcome to the Wyckoff Family YMCA’s website!
It is our hope that this site will serve you well, providing the most up-to-date information on our organization. The Wyckoff Y is comprehensive wellness and recreational facility, located at 691 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff. The Y offers programs for people of all ages to develop in spirit, mind, and body; regardless of age, sex, race or religion. Our community extends well beyond the borders of Wyckoff, Franklin Lakes, and Bergen County. Over ten thousand members from all over northern New Jersey call the Wyckoff Y home.
The Y has been a part of Wyckoff for over sixty years, growing from a tiny nursery school to a major child care provider. It offers full-day child care for children 6 weeks-6 years, before and after school care, children’s educational and recreational programs, aquatics, teen programs, and summer camp.
Adults enjoy the Y’s fitness center, two indoor pools, and choose from over 100 fitness and wellness classes a week; including a growing program for seniors called Senior Spot. Our special needs program offers “Shining Star” for special needs children and adults and our newest addition, “Billy’s Buddies,” for children with Down syndrome and their families.
A major focus of the Wyckoff Y is to help individuals foster a love and appreciation of the arts. Within a period of eight years, our Performing Arts School has grown from a tiny program with a handful of students to a successful school of almost 400 students, offering a dance education on par with any local dance school and dance teams which perform and compete nationally. Another facet of our arts initiative is “Y-Arts”; our new concert and performance series. Over the past several years, the Y has hosted performances by: “Little Feat,” Dave Mason, the Philharmonic Orchestra of New Jersey, the Bacon Brothers, “Mountain,” and the Marshall Tucker Band, among others. Future plans include theatrical performances, comedy, improv, and amateur nights.
This is only a sampling of what the “Y” has to offer. Check out the rest of our website, or better yet, come in for a visit. You’ll like what you see!
Sincerely,
Joyce K. Vottero
